My friend Jenn (Estes) is quite the talented artist and something of a food storage expert. Since I was interested in getting a wheat grinder Jenn came over a couple weeks ago with hers to show me how easy they are to use (I subsequently bought one of my own and am now the proud owner of a WonderMill Wheat Grinder). Anyway, while we were waiting on the dough to rise Jenn got a little creative with our front window. It's just too cute not to share! Thanks again Jenn...it really does make me smile everytime I see it.

Now you need to get a mixer/blender called Blendtech that can you can make 5 loaves of bread from start to finish in a little over an hour. I love the mixer and blender! Chris loves the blender too, because it crushes ice for the best smoothies. Jenn is quite the artist--cute window!
Cute!
Good job on the grinder!

This is the other Skye wondering why anybody would grind wheat? Not that I don't support you in your hobbies but I don't get it. Does it make the bread better? My hubby has a bread machine but I have never used it. Explain please???
Jen (other Skye) have you never had real, homemade wheat bread? It's so yummy!!! Plus fresh ground wheat flour has many more vitamins than anything you could ever buy in the stores. And you can definitely use a bread maker! Considering everything I'm going through I just wanted to start TRYING to eat better, you know? And wheat stores VERY well! :-)
SO cute! We miss you guys!
Oh yeah, and you look so cute in your hats and scarfs. YOu are such a beautiful momma with hair and with out. Lucky....
No, I've never had homemade wheat bread. My mom used to make homemade bread, rolls and pizza dough, but we lived in Iceland. She kinda had to. It was always white bread though. I'm open to the concept since I love creating beautiful and yummy things.
I also have a new found desire and need to eat better. It really is good for all of us.
I know that you are going through hell right now but I am not worried about you. I have 2 friends with cancer but only one of you is going to recover. You are a lucky, brave, beautiful woman.

Kris you made it through Chemo sane and everything! This is cause for celebration!!! I love your window and homemade yummy bread but this is a much more blog worthy moment! Hope you found the energy and time to do something fun on your last day of chemo. I miss you guys!
I'm so glad that the window makes you smile! And thanks for all of the lovely compliments about me being a food storage "expert". I'll have to include that one on my resume! You're amazing. Congrats on your last chemo!
