Teaching a two year old about the potty
So last night I was getting the girls ready for bed. Gracie loves to brush her teeth, well more like chew on her toothbrush but whatever...I'm just happy she is getting the idea that brushing is important. I started to help Emma brush her teeth & glanced over at Grace just in time to see her pulling her toothbrush out of the toilet and begin to bring it up to her mouth. I freaked. I scared her so badly as I screamed out "NOOOOOOOOO"! It was one of those surreal slow motion experiences as I lunged towards her to grab the toothbrush out of her hand. I don't think she got it to her mouth, I can't be sure though because I think I blocked it from my mind. YUCK! I ran & threw the toothbrush away (she has two anyway). When I came back she was crying in the bathroom. I put the lid down on the toilet & pulled her onto my lap & we began to discuss what EXACTLY the potty was for. I *think* she got it. I certainly don't think she'll forget Mommy's reaction for a good long while. She kept saying "never, never" as we discussed what we do NOT put in the potty. Ah, the joys of having a two year old.

Yeah Kristine! I'm so glad you jumped on the blog wagon! Can I put a link to your blog on my blog? As for the toilet, I caught Ashton dipping one of his toy cups into the toilet for a drink. Talk about gross! I'm just glad it had been flushed. I love the pictures of your family. The girls are beautiful and you and Coray look great too. Can't wait to see more!
Dude! Totally Awesome! Finally a Neilson Blog. It's great to see the family. You might want to get a hit counter so you can get rough idea of how many people check in. because most people don't leave messages.
By the way, the picture of Gracie to the right looks exactly like Coray's little league photo.
We are going to try and get signed into too when you are here.
